John Halajko

John Halajko is a Consulting Engineer at the URS Washington Division in Princeton, NJ.  Over his thirty-four year career he served as a member of fifteen grass roots design, build, and commission teams for FMC and Shell. His design and leadership contributions in the instrumentation and control systems area span refining, olefins, H2O2, agricultural pesticides, phosphorous and lithium chemicals, waste water, and steam generation. John has contributed to the hardware and software design of control systems from P&ID development to SIS auditing.  He coauthored Shell's first successful batch automation project, EPON 6, and lead the software development for FMC's first Foundation Fieldbus Plant, PPA I.  John holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and is a registered professional control systems engineer in the state of Pennsylvania.  His hobbies include fishing and Lionel trains.
