Artificial Intelligence Notice: ISA prohibits the entry of any ISA intellectual property (“ISA IP”), including standards, publications, training or other materials into any form of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, such as ChatGPT. Additionally, creating derivatives of ISA IP using AI is also prohibited without express written permission from ISA’s CEO. In the case of such use, ISA will suspend a licensee’s access to ISA IP, and further legal action will be considered. Jay R. Jeffreys, P.E.

Jay R. Jeffreys, P.E., is a business development manager for Citect's indirect channel programs, working with their network of system integrators and distribution partners to deliver automation and manufacturing execution system solutions across the Americas. He is active with the ISA Training Institute developing and delivering courses on enterprise-control systems integration with ISA95, and batch control using ISA88. He has been a part of the ISA95 standards committee since 1998. He brings over 20 years experience in design, manufacturing, project engineering, and management of industrial automation and information technology projects for a variety of industries at sites around the world. He has worked and managed projects with technologies from advanced process control systems with various PLCs, through manufacturing execution systems based on Wonderware and Citect products, to manufacturing enterprise management with Baan and Oracle ERP systems. He holds a B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee and is a senior member of ISA.
