CEUs Credits: 2.1
Certification of Completion: A Certificate of Completion indicating the total number of CEUs earned will be provided upon successful completion of the course.
Description
This course focuses on the process of manipulating, transferring and storing configuration and calibration data. It will enable the student to take advantage of manipulating data electronically thus eliminating the need for paper documents and provide from “cradle to grave” records keeping of instrument items. Students will:
- Become familiar with a dynamic instrument and calibration databases
- Learn the advantages of paperless documentation
- Manipulate the latest in test equipment (documenting calibrators)
- Develop and generate testing and calibration reports containing standard formatted data
You will be able to:
- Configure an instrument database for asset management
- Configure a calibration database for tests and records management
- Store equipment configuration in various HHCs and management software
- Download stored configurations into new field devices.
- Configure documenting calibrators to perform calibration tests and document the data
- Transfer configuration and calibration data between storage devices and databases utilizing the latest in communication protocols
- Perform standard pressure and temperature calibrations and manage the data
- Test a multivariable transmitter and manage the data
- Run diagnostics on a DVCs and manage the results
- Test pressure and temperature transmitters using advanced techniques
You Will Cover:
- Instrument database configurations
- Field device configuration management
- Configuration files storage and transfers
- Calibration and testing configurations
- Calibrations and testing files management
- DVC testing and files management
- Calibration database configuration
