Message from the 2013 ISA President:
ISA certification programs can position employees and employers to succeed

Amid the backdrop of a highly competitive economy and labor market, ISA certification programs play a pivotal role in meeting the needs and objectives of both workers and the companies that employ them. ISA offers two outstanding certification programs: the Certified Control Systems Technician®(CCST®) program and the Certified Automation Professional® (CAP®) program.

Young engineer from India shares his story of how ISA has benefited his growing career 
Murtaza Gandhi, a young engineer from Ahmedabad, India, credits ISA mentors and ISA student section involvement for helping to inspire and cultivate his growing career. He encourages aspiring young engineers to get engaged in Society events and section activities, and build the skills and knowledge needed for professional excellence and leadership. 

ISA announces Falcon Electric as an ISA Automation Week Partner 
ISA recently announced that Falcon Electric, Inc., a leading manufacturer of award-winning power protection and conversion solutions, is an ISA Automation Week Partner. Falcon Electric's partnership agreement with ISA ensures that the company and its solutions will gain privileged brand exposure and marketing promotion at ISA Automation Week 2013. 

ISA WWAC Symposium Partnership with WEF Heats Up with Award Recognizing Collaboration 
The 2013 ISA Water/Wastewater and Automatic Controls (WWAC) Symposium, to be held 6-8 August 2013 at the Crowne Plaza Orlando-Universal Hotel in Orlando, Florida, USA, highlights ISA's ongoing partnership with the Water Environment Federation (WEF). An award recognizing the collaboration between the two organizations was recently bestowed on Thomas DeLaura, vice president of Eramosa International, Inc. 

ISA unveils TechTour 2013, a new training program that brings ISA technical training to a variety of cities across the US 
ISA recently introduced a new training program, ISA TechTour, designed to make it easier, more convenient, and more cost-effective for automation and control technicians and engineers to take several of ISA's most popular and comprehensive technical training courses at a variety of cities in the US where expert-led ISA instruction has not previously been offered.

Automation Federation co-sponsors free webinar, on 18 April 2013, featuring the latest research in image-guided robotics surgery 
The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), the Automation Federation, and Electrical and Computer Engineering Department Heads Association (ECEDHA) are co-sponsoring a webinar on the use of robotic technology for minimally invasive surgery.

The webinar will feature a presentation, "Creating Robotic Technology for Ultra-minimally Invasive Surgery," by Pierre Dupont, Ph.D., chief of Pediatric Cardiac Bioengineering and staff scientist in Cardiovascular Surgery at Boston Children's Hospital.
