    Peter Martin, Ph.D., Vice President Business Value Consulting, Schneider Electric

    Peter MartinDr. Martin has over 35 years in industrial control and automation. He has authored numerous articles, technical papers, and books. He holds multiple patents. Fortune named Dr. Martin a Hero of U.S. Manufacturing.  He was also named as one of the 50 Most Influential Innovators of All Time by Intech, and received the Life Achievement Award by the International Society of Automation (ISA). In 2013 Dr. Martin was elected to the Process Automation Hall of Fame, and was selected as a Fellow of the International Society of Automation. He holds BA and MS degrees in Mathematics and an MA degree in Administration and Management, a Master of Biblical Studies degree, a PhD in Industrial Engineering, and a PhD in Biblical Studies.

    Patrick Gouhin, Executive Director and CEO, International Society of Automation

    Patrick GouhinPatrick Gouhin is presently serving in his 11th year as the Executive Director and CEO of the International Society of Automation (ISA). In this capacity he is responsible for the operations of a seventy year old, professional technical society with more than 40,000 members and 400,000 customers world-wide. During his tenure at ISA he has provided leadership toward the creation of many new initiatives and companies including The Automation Federation, the Automation Standards Compliance Institute, a Globalization Initiative, Government Relations Program, the acquisition of a for profit company, Automation.com, and a Work Force Development Program including a U.S. Dept. of Labor sponsored Competency Model for the profession of Automation.

    He has a bachelor of science in aeronautical and astronautical engineering from The Ohio State University and a master’s in engineering management from George Washington University. He has also completed the executive development program at the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and the advanced management college of Stanford University.

    Jody Damron, Business Analyst, Salt River Project

    Jody DamronJody Damron has 37 years of experience in the electric utility industry at Salt River Project Generation.  His past experience includes time as a Control Room Operator, Instrument Technician, DCS Technician, HVAC Controls Technician, Instrument, Electrical, Maintenance, Planning/Scheduling, and Apprentice Supervisor. Jody was the business lead for many critical projects including: Instrument data and software calibration upgrades, Work and Asset Management software upgrades, Controls System Upgrades, and many business process upgrades.

    He is Co-Author of ISA-77.70.01 Tracking and Reporting of Instrument and Control Data, and is writing a new technical report ISA–77.70.03-20XX Integrating Calibration Management with Asset management that will address. He serves as an ISA Committee Chairman. Today, Jody supports the Salt River Project Power Generation Division as a Business Analyst. His current responsibilities are Business Unit Representative for Asset Management, Akwire, Beamex, BI Reporting, Maximo, Maxavera, Primavera and liaison between Generation and I.T. software applications.

    Michael Uhrin, Associate Director of Engineering Compliance & Technology, Boehringer Ingelheim

    Michael UhrinMichael Uhrin is the Associate Director of Engineering Compliance & Technology at Boehringer Ingelheim in Danbury, Connecticut.

    Michael has worked with Boehringer Ingelheim for 13 years and prior to that served as a Field Engineer and Validation Engineer for Glatt Air Techniques in Ramsey, New Jersey. He holds a Master’s degree in Technology Management from Fairfield University in Fairfield, Connecticut and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pennsylvania. Michael has been involved with implementing calibration process changes and global calibration system rollouts. Today, his responsibilities include calibration, preventive maintenance, validation, process automation, water purification and security systems.

    Ned Espy, Technical Director, Beamex, Inc.

    Ned EspyNed Espy, Technical Director, has been promoting calibration management with Beamex for over 20 years. Ned has helped develop best practices for calibration, with a focus on pressure, temperature and multivariable instruments. He is a consistent editorial contributor to leading industry publications, and has received significant recognition within the automation industry. Recently, Ned contributed to the book 416-page book, “The Engineer’s Guide to Industrial Temperature Measurement.” Earlier in 2014, he wrote a paper titled, “Improved Measurement and Control Utilizing Advanced Calibration Strategies,” which he presented at the ISA Power Industry Division Symposium in June.

    Today, Ned teaches calibration best practices and provides technical support to end users and the Beamex sales team in North America.

    Chuck Boyd, Strategic Market Director, Beamex, Inc.

    Chuck Boyd Chuck Boyd, Account Director, has been in software development, system implementation and business development roles for the past 20+ years.  Currently Chuck manages key global and strategic accounts for Beamex as well as market development in the northeast region of the U.S.

    Chuck Boyd, Account Director, has been in software development, system implementation and business development roles for the past 29 years. He has been in Business Development and Client Advocacy roles for the past 15 years, the most recent 5 years with Beamex managing key global and strategic accounts as well as market development in various regions of the U.S. Chuck holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry Institute of Technology and previously spent over 10 years as a Business System Analyst on software development projects. In this role he functioned as a communication conduit between the business and IT, working with key executives and users to translate business vision into process and data models, identifying business rules and testing requirements.
