Beckhoff Automation hired five new regional sales and application engineers in the past few months of 2008 to deliver direct, on-site sales and engineering support to machine builders, manufacturers and other technology-driven businesses: Kenneth Harbin, sales Engineer for Dallas-Fort Worth; Jeff Johnson, application engineer for Wisconsin; Rich Lester, application engineer for Texas; Niels Ouwersloot, sales engineer for Los Angeles and central California; and Erik Soeder, application engineer for the Cleveland area and Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.
ICONICS hired Mark Fountain as its new Western regional sales manager.
Robert Chapman recently joined MPR Associates, an inter-disciplinary engineering firm founded in 1964. Based in California, Chapman serves as the director of marketing for MPR's Product Development business sector.

Pederson is former director for the control systems security program at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
