The 1,300 megawatt power plant for Dutch utility Nuon, in Eemshaven (in the province of Groningen, on the North Sea coast), will feed electricity into the existing Dutch high-voltage grid and could supply power to around two million households. ABB also signed a $130 million contract to develop the Sawan gas field compressor project, located 80 km southeast of Sukkur city in Pakistan. The new plant will include compressor facilities near an existing central processing plant and will increase production needed to feed Pakistan's two main gas pipelines, providing a continuous gas flow of 375 million cubic feet per day.
