Get involved!—Activity #2:
Organize an automation career fair or related event
By organizing an automation day career fair or other related event in your community, you can provide students interested in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and their families a direct, face-to-face way to learn about how to apply STEM knowledge and skills to automation as a career/profession.
A STEM-related event can be as small or as big as you desire. It can be a single, hands-on demonstration of an engineering principle, a career expo at a local school, or a full-fledged science festival involving numerous community organizations.
Here are some resources to get you started:
- A step-by-step guide to creating a large-scale public event
- Easy-to-follow and conduct hands-on demonstrations and activities
- Supportive resources and downloads
- Exhibiting opportunities at Engineering Family Day, 18 February 2018
Contribute by participating in AF- and ISA-supported activities!
