The International Society of Automation (ISA) — the leading professional society for automation — has earned a 2025 Gold TRENDY Award for MimoSM, an AI-powered large language model (LLM) trained on ISA content. The TRENDY Awards, presented by Association TRENDS, recognize the best marketing and communication pieces in the association and nonprofit community.
Mimo received a 2025 Gold TRENDY Award for Best Product Launch, the highest award given in the category. Launched at the end of Q2 2024, Mimo is an LLM educated on ISA standards, training, technical reports, white papers, articles and presentations. It can answer user questions in multiple languages about industrial automation and operational technology (OT) cybersecurity. In the first month of its existence, Mimo answered about 4,000 prompts — roughly eight times the prompts a typical association knowledge assistant can expect to see upon release.
