The International Society of Automation (ISA) and its Corporate Partner, Honeywell Process Solutions, will co-host a free webinar on 3 November 2017 on how to address cybersecurity concerns in gas metering and data management.

The webinar, which will be held from 12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m., Eastern Daylight Time, will feature two automation experts: Pierre Dufour, Global Product Marketing Manager at Honeywell Process Solutions; and Steve Mustard, automation consultant.

"In today's highly connected world, with increasingly sophisticated electronic threats, it is unrealistic to assume natural gas delivery systems are isolated or immune from various forms of compromise," says Dufour. "It is essential to proactively identify and mitigate cyber-risks. This webinar discusses the need for gas providers to gain greater visibility into their security posture and describes ways to address threats to gas metering and data management infrastructure.

"Cybersecurity is a crucial topic throughout the process industries, and particularly in the energy sector, so you don't want to miss this webinar," added Dufour. "Companies require integrated solutions providing seamless connectivity and secure, round-the-clock access to data and diagnostics."

"ISA welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with Honeywell Process Solutions on a free webinar that provides valuable information to our members, customers and others in the automation community on a subject of key consideration," says Jennifer Halsey, ISA's Director of Marketing & Communications. "Due to the critical nature of the energy grid, it's important for gas companies to improve the overall security of their metering installed base and reduce the chances of vulnerabilities being exploited."
