• ISA Recognitions and Awards

Individual accomplishment and excellence moves the automation profession forward. ISA is proud to honor individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the Society and to automation.

A highly esteemed designation conveyed by the Society is the distinguished membership grade of Fellow. Qualified senior members who have made exceptional engineering or scientific contributions to the field of automation are nominated, evaluated by their peers, and upon recommendation, elevated to this distinguished Fellow membership grade.

The Society conveys its highest honor of Honorary Member to recognize individuals, members or non-members, whose support of and/or contributions to the advancement of the automation profession deserve special recognition.

ISA also bestows honors upon those who have made special contributions through the Society's awards program. And starting in 2012, ISA is pleased to introduce a new awards program that will continue the Society's long and rich history of honoring excellence.

The Celebrating Excellence  awards program honors both technical accomplishment and service to the Society. We are especially excited about a special category of recognitions that has been added to the traditional committee-selected and Board approved award categories - the Member's Choice Award - a new category of recognitions that allow members to nominate and select the honorees.

As a technical organization, acknowledgement of technical contributions is a key element of the Society's awards program. Celebrating Excellence  honors companies and individuals, both members and non-members, for significant contributions in leadership, technical innovation, and contributions to education that have advanced the profession.

As a volunteer-driven organization, ISA depends on its Members and leaders to advance the mission of the Society around the world. Thousands of volunteers work tirelessly on ISA's world-class standards, renowned training and certification programs, award-winning publications, and cutting-edge conferences and exhibitions. Celebrating Excellence honors dedicated individual volunteer service and the exceptional efforts of Sections and Divisions to advance the mission of the Society. The new Celebrating Excellence Member's Choice awards allow members to nominate and vote to select ISA members who have demonstrated exceptional leadership.
