    April 2013 ISA Standards Update

To begin work on updating its current standard, the ISA67.02 subcommittee, Instrument Sensing Line Piping and Tubing Standards for Use in Nuclear Power Plants Standards, met on April 19th via conference call. A productive discussion was held by the ISA67.02 members representing manufacturers, users, and representatives from the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). The revisions to ISA-67.02.01, Nuclear Safety-Related Instrument Sensing Line Piping and Tubing Standard for Use in Nuclear Power Plants, will include clarification of existing figures and addition of figures applicable to boiling water reactors (BWRs), as well as addressing concerns of slope of tubing. The revised standard will be reviewed at the next ISA67.02 meeting to be held in conjunction with the 2013 ISA Power Industry Division Symposium in Orlando, Florida.
