    Individual accomplishment and commitment are the driving force behind ISA’s mission to meet the needs of automation professionals and advance the automation profession.

    ISA’s honors and awards programs provide the Society with the opportunity to formally showcase and celebrate the remarkable achievements and contributions of its members, partners, and other automation professionals.

    Each year, ISA conducts an Honors & Awards Gala to acknowledge and applaud those individuals selected for special recognition in the following areas:

     
         

    ISA Fellow


    Deadline 30 April
    Elevation to the distinguished grade of ISA Fellow is granted to senior Society members in recognition of their exceptional engineering scientific contributions to the field of automation.

    To nominate a candidate:

    • Identify qualified and eligible evaluators
    • Each candidate must be evaluated by a minimum of five Fellow Members or a combination of nine Fellows and Senior Members. Preference should be given to Fellows when selecting evaluators
    • All evaluators must be current ISA members and come from a wide geographical area with a balanced mix of relationships to the candidate (co-worker, subordinate, superior, customer, competitor, etc.) as well as a balanced mix of recognized authorities in the automation field and in the candidate's field of specialization
    • It is not essential for the evaluator to know the candidate personally
    • The evaluator's assessment should augment and reinforce the nomination
    • Current Executive Board and Admissions Committee members, as well as the person nominating the candidate are not eligible to serve as evaluators

    Celebrating Excellence awards honor companies, ISA sections and divisions, and individuals (both members and non-members) for their significant contributions in leadership; technical innovation and presentation; standards development; education; service; volunteerism; and mentorship.
