R Stahl: Industrial Ethernet switches

Name *: R Stahl: Industrial Ethernet switches
Description *:
The series 9721 unmanaged switches have ATEX and IEC Ex certifications. The networking product is suitable for process plants with fast Ethernet infrastructure in hazardous areas. The series 9721 switches have four FX ports for optical fiber cables with the “op is” (inherently safe optical radiation) type of protection, according to IEC EN 60079-28:2015, which is akin to electrical type “i” intrinsic safety. Connected lines can be plugged in and out even in explosive atmospheres in zone 1 and 2 (hot plugging). With a shutdown no longer required, changes or extensions to an installation become more cost effective. Optical fiber cables can be used for fast data communication, especially in plants with distributed systems where considerable distances must be bridged or where strong interference may be an issue. The switches themselves can be operated in zone 2, while their 100 Mbit/s optical ports connect field devices, such as the Ethernet-enabled IS1+ remote I/O system in zone 1.The SPM 401 series stainless-steel, media-isolate pressure sensors are especially suitable for low-pressure and smaller applications. Media-isolated sensors can operate in hostile environments with the sensitivity, linearity, and hysteresis of a silicon sensor. The sensor is compatible with 316L stainless steel, a type of steel that increases corrosion resistance, improves resistance to pitting from chloride ion solutions, and provides increased strength at high temperatures. The piezo sensor chip is housed in a fluid-filled cylindrical cavity and isolated from measured media by a stainless-steel diaphragm and body.
