    Second Forum on Cybersecurity for Industrial Environments and Critical Infrastructure

     Second Forum on Cybersecurity

    The Second Forum on Cybersecurity for Industrial Environments and Critical Infrastructure, held in Bogotá, Colombia on 3 June 2016, brought distinguished experts from US and Colombia to speak on the critical issues and topics. Presenters outlined relevant advances on different cybersecurity regulations, including IEC 62443, ISA 84, ISA 99, and CONPES (National Council of Economic and Social Politics).

    The ISA Colombia Section is conducting these types of events with the active participation of Colombia’s Ministry of Defense and important companies within the industry sector. ISA Colombia is also offering valuable cybersecurity training for the companies interested in certifications.     Automotive Industry Tech Talk: Applications of Robotics

    The Second Tech Talk in ISA Pune Section’s ‘Tech Talk Series,’ attended by more than 100 delegates, was delivered by Sanjay Sarolkar, Corporate Head- Sales, PARI Ltd., on the topic of robotics application in the automotive industry. His presentation highlighted case studies of many different projects executed by PARI in which robots provided solutions for powertrain shops, body shops, paint shops etc.

    He highlighted the many advantages of robotic applications in automotive industry, such as enhanced productivity, reduced operations costs, improved process quality with zero defects, improved environmental safety controls, greater manufacturing flexibility, and less material waste.
