    News from the ISA Italy Section

    Interceptor and regulation valves and actuators for the process industry

    ISA Italy and A.T.I (Italian Association of Thermotechnics) held a one-day conference in July for the process industry on interceptors, regulation valves, and actuators. The conference was free to students; about 50 students and professionals attended. The papers presented have been published on the section’s website at www.aisisa.it.

    Solutions for temperature measurement

    On September 17, ISA Italy held a technical conference on temperature measurement at the Endress + Hauser facility in Milano. About 45 people attended the conference. Many highly acclaimed papers were presented. Tours of the facility were provided to interested participants.

    CHEM MED – RICH MAC Exhibition

    CHEM MED – RICH MAC is the most important chemical industry event held in Milan. Every two years the world’s chemical companies attend this exhibition. This year, the ISA Italy Section organized a seminar, “Water and Waste Water Treatment,” which was attended by 60 industry leaders. In addition, the section operated a booth, which was useful in recruiting potential members.

    ISA Wilmington Section to host conference in November

    Every two years, the ISA Wilmington Section organizes the Industrial Automation Show & Technical Conference – a unique event for the Delaware Valley.  The event is conveniently located just off of I-95 between Wilmington and Philadelphia. Both the show and the technical conference are free and open to the public.  The show floor will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., while the conference is planned to run from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m.  Four sessions are planned for the conference: Operator Effectiveness, Safety, Cyber-Security, and Optimization.  Thirty-one vendors and over 100 attendees participated in 2014.
