• ISA grounding committee begins work on recommended practice

ISA90, Instrumentation and Grounding, is working on a new document, Recommended Guidelines for Industrial Control System Power and Grounding, after several years of inactivity. The initial draft, written by new chair Jim Federlein, provides general guidance for the power and grounding of industrial control systems. It is not intended as a replacement for government regulations or codes that may be in effect, nor for a manufacturer’s specific requirements for an industrial control system.
