Purpose
The Treasurer guides the Society's fiscal practices, serving a two-year term.
Responsibilities
- Oversees the Society’s finances
- Assures that the Society’s accounting records and procedures are adequate for audit and report purposes
- Serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Automation Standards Compliance Institute (ASCI)
- Serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Automation.com

Preferred Experience/Knowledge
- Prior experience on finance committee preferred
- Has ability to clearly present complex financial issues in an informative and unbiased manner
- Understanding of financial accounting and regulations, as well as investment practices and principles for a non-profit organization
- Experience with responsibility of budget in operations, P&L responsibility preferred
Time Requirements
- Executive Board Meetings – approximately 3 hours per month
- Officer Meetings – approximately 3 hours per month
- Finance Committee meetings - approximately 2 hours per month
- Investment Committee meetings - approximately 2 hours per quarter
- Annual Leadership Conference – 4 days
- Strategic Leader Meeting – 3 days
- Executive Summit – 3 days
