Management of Alarm Systems (IC39) focuses on the key alarm management lifecycle activities as outlined in ISA's standard, ANSI/ISA18.2, Management of Alarm Systems for the Process Industries. The activities include alarm philosophy development, alarm rationalization, basic alarm design, advanced alarm techniques, human machine interface (HMI) design for alarms, monitoring, assessment, management of change (MoC) and audits.

In addition to alarm management activities, participants learn to identify and address common issues with alarm systems.
