59th ISA Analysis Division Symposium
4-8 May 2014
Attendees at this highly popular event will discover how to properly select, install, and maintain process analyzers for the benefit of end users, vendors, and engineering procurement companies (EPCs). Special emphasis will be placed on workforce planning, and leading vendors will introduce new tools and smarter analyzers that need less support, and EPCs with smarter networks that can lower the cost of ownership designs. The symposium also will offer three valuable training courses.
Papers for acceptance should address topics in process and laboratory analysis, including methods, applications, hardware, software, systems, operations and maintenance. For complete guidelines and other important Call for Papers dates and information, download this pdf, or go to the symposium’s Call for Papers web page. Note: The submission deadline is 20 December 2013.

14th ISA LDAR-Fugitive Emissions Symposium
19-21 May 2014
Stay current on the latest news from regulatory officials, hear best-practice leak detection and repair (LDAR) program success stories, and learn about the most recent innovations and advances in air compliance strategies, technologies, and techniques at the 14th ISA LDAR-Fugitive Emissions Symposium. Numerous tutorials and panel sessions allow for extensive face-to-face discussions and interaction with both government representatives and industry colleagues.
Presentations and technical papers for acceptance should focus on the following subject-matter areas: Lowering and preventing leaks; LDAR compliance; environmental/LDAR compliance; batch programs; LDAR design and validation; reducing air emissions; Consent decree updates; emission performance; low-leak technologies; LDAR regulations; and long-term seal ability.
Abstracts should be 300 words or less and clearly describe what the non-commercial presentation will cover. All abstracts should be sent via email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Note: The submission deadline is 15 January 2014.

57th ISA Power Industry Division Symposium
1-6 June 2014
ISA’s Annual ISA Power Industry (POWID) Symposium is the largest conference dedicated to automation, control systems and instrumentation in the power generation industry.
The theme of this year’s gathering, “Instrumentation and Control Solutions for Today’s Industry Challenges,” underscores the need to provide answers to the critical dilemmas in power generation, namely: maintaining reliability of power generation while managing fluctuating load demands (known as cycling); securing critical data and information through advanced cybersecurity; and meeting increasingly stringent environmental controls regulation.
Attendees will come away with: a greater awareness and understanding of recent innovations in instrumentation, controls and automation technologies; and the know-how to apply security to control systems; improve power plant load demand response and low-load operation; and monitor and diagnose plant equipment and system reliability issues.
Abstracts must be submitted on the conference web site at www.isa.org/powersymp. For complete guidelines and Call for Papers information, download this pdf. Note: The submission deadline is 15 January 2014.

2014 ISA Water/Wastewater and Automatic Controls Division Symposium
5-7 August 2014
The 2014 ISA Water/Wastewater and Automatic Controls (WWAC) Division Symposium is aimed at helping professionals in the water and wastewater industries understand how instrumentation, SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition) and automatic control applications are vital to the treatment and distribution of water, and the collection and treatment of wastewater.
The symposium will provide attendees with the information they need to stay informed and the critical insights and tools required to make their facilities more robust and efficient. Particularly in demand are applications that can collect large amounts of data and quickly convert it to usable, actionable information.
Among the abstract topics to be covered include: SCADA security, ISA99, CSET, risk mitigation, control system technologies, redundancy and design, wireless technologies, process optimization, energy use modeling and optimization, HMI design for operator effectiveness, human factors, alarm management, data reporting and presentation, and data management and retrieval.
