Dr Richard Rice of Clemson University's Chemical Engineering Department holding ISA Grant Check for $5,000.00
At the regular meeting on June 25th, ISA - The Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society, Western Carolinas Section, made a $5000 grant to the Chemical Engineering Department of Clemson University for upgrading of instrumentation in the Department's Unit Operations Laboratory. Dr. Richard W. Rice, Associate Professor, accepted the grant on behalf of the University, and explained that this money will be used to purchase equipment for a new chemical kinetics experiment to be used by students in the Unit Operations lab. This is the second grant from ISA to Chemical Engineering at Clemson, and is done to promote the use of modern instrumentation by students and faculty. ISA is a world wide organization of people involved in a variety of industries and processes involving measurement and control applications.
