Wireless - More Value with Less Wire

Advances in technology has now allowed more powerful information capabilities then ever before. Discover how RF wireless technology can enable your plant to transform to a more enterprising competitive business by the aid of a complete wireless infrastructure.

The newest generation of wireless transmitters can measure and communicate process variables online without the need for wiring or external power. These transmitters give industrial users the flexibility to gather information about process and assets in areas where traditional hard-wired transmitters are too costly, difficult or time-consuming to implement. Armed with a broader range of consistent data, users can improve product quality, maximize uptime, reduce costs and achieve regulatory compliance.  

This presentation will address applications, reliability, security, power and other aspects about wireless transmitters and explore the current uses of this technology among leading process companies. Relevant technical research will be reviewed and case histories detailing the experiences and successes of current users will be featured. Costs and benefits related to installation, information gathering and exchange, maintenance and operations, and safety also will be included.  

Attendees will leave with the information and tools they need to make confident and appropriate decisions about the use of wireless transmitters at their facilities. They will also understand the role these devices may play in the future.

Ronald Poirier, HFS – Territory Account Manager

Ron has been with Honeywell Field Solutions for over 13 years, has held various positions within the organization before being assigned the role of Territory Account Manager seven years ago.  

Ron is an active member of the ISA Toronto chapter as Membership co-chair and also as the Golf Tournament chair person.  

Ron graduated from Ottawa University as a Mechanical Engineer in 1992. Ron resides in Mississauga , Ontario .
