MONTHLY DINNER MEETING - Thursday, November 26, 2009

Please  let us know if you will be joining us  >>RSVP Here<<

Topic:

Introduction to Thermal Imaging

Over the past decade, Thermal Imagers have gone from a $20,000.00+ investment requiring a highly trained technician to a sub-$10,000.00 investment that is no more difficult to operate than a digital camera.  With this change in pricing and technology, Thermal Imaging has become an effective and affordable diagnostic tool that any plant can take advantage of.

The presentation will consist of the basics of operation through to the latest software advances, and will provide a quick overview of some of the advantages of the technology.  Due to the nature of the technology, a solid foundation is required to understand which applications would benefit from this device.  Some specific topics that will be covered will be: emissivity, myths of the measurement, and image analysis.

About the speaker:

Ryan Kershaw is an outside sales rep for Bestobell AquaTronix whose principal, Palmer Wahl, has been involved in non-contact temperature measurement for over three decades, and contact temperature measurement for over 150 years.  Ryan has been with Bestobell for 8 years and works out of their head office in Toronto.
