SCADA Part 3 - The hardware to do the job

In part 1 of our SCADA series we looked at why some industries are moving  away from the classical control systems to SCADA -  then in  part 2 we saw how  this migration is taking place - and now in part 3 we will look at what hardware you will need to do the job.

This presentation will provide an overview of:

  • SCADA in remote and telemetry type applications

  • comparing the needs and requirements of a in-Plant Scada solution
    and a widely distributed environment

  • the impact of 'bandwith' (IO communications-wise)

  • modbus and other protocols with and with out time stamping

  • historians in remote and telemetry applications

  • alarms and events in remote and telemetry applications
