Founded in 1945, ISA
(www.isa.org)
is a leading, global, nonprofit organization that is setting the
standard for automation by helping over 30,000 worldwide members
and other professionals solve difficult technical problems,
while enhancing their leadership and personal career
capabilities.
Based in Research Triangle Park (RTP), North
Carolina, ISA develops standards; certifies industry
professionals; provides education and training; publishes books
and technical articles; and hosts the largest conference and
exhibition for automation professionals in the Western
Hemisphere.
The
ISA Toronto Section was formed in 1948 by a group of
engineers working in the field of Instrumentation. Their purpose
was to unite the various companies and manufacturers to create
an environment where the practitioners of the field had an
avenue to learn about products, services and the ever changing
technology.
To this day the
section continues to provide its members and other professionals
in the field of Instrumentation and Automation with:
