About ISA & the Toronto Section

Founded in 1945, ISA (www.isa.org) is a leading, global, nonprofit organization that is setting the standard for automation by helping over 30,000 worldwide members and other professionals solve difficult technical problems, while enhancing their leadership and personal career capabilities.

Based in Research Triangle Park (RTP), North Carolina, ISA develops standards; certifies industry professionals; provides education and training; publishes books and technical articles; and hosts the largest conference and exhibition for automation professionals in the Western Hemisphere.

The ISA Toronto Section was formed in 1948 by a group of engineers working in the field of Instrumentation. Their purpose was to unite the various companies and manufacturers to create an environment where the practitioners of the field had an avenue to learn about products, services and the ever changing technology.

To this day the section continues to provide its members and other professionals in the field of Instrumentation and Automation with:

  • Monthly Dinner Meetings featuring technical presentations on current technologies

  • Web access to a vast resource of information on all aspects of the field

  • Local training courses and seminars to upgrade your skills and knowledge

  • Conferences and exhibits to keep you current in new trends and products

  • An opportunity to network with your peers

If you are a member then you have probably taken advantage of the benefits offered through membership, if not, you can still utilize many of the services but without the benefit of discounted prices, so it pays to Join.
