Program summary
Supporting the company's visualization and information needs goes beyond HMIs and SCADA. This needs the coordination of different technologies and platforms and the connectivity of these technologies.

The architecture for the integration process control data acquisition, SCADA, information technology, telecommunications, and video will be presented, along with an example of using integrated technologies to make decisions and the integrated management of these technologies.

Speaker
Leonard Morano is an independent consultant with over thirty years experience in business, technology, international and Sarbanes-Oxley* consulting. He has project managed projects in many information technology fields. In addition, provides subject mater expert consulting in Change Management, Risk Management, Security Management, Automation Intelligence, and Network Management areas. Currently, Len is project manager for a $16 Million dollar infrastructure project to provide the connectivity building block for automation intelligent applications at a major energy company in the San Joaquin Valley area.

Len's career started at Viatron as an IBM mainframe computer operator and programmer when he was only 16 years old. Early in his career, he held teaching assignments in many information technology areas including data communications and programming at Northeastern University and Chamberlain Jr. College in Boston. Later Len joined Four Phase Systems, Data General, and Honeywell Information Systems where he was responsible for sales support, systems engineering, architecture, and marketing for communications products.
