Exchange of Officers Program: The annual Exchange of Officers program was held June 3rd at the Seattle Space Needle. A great time was had by all! MaryAnn Jordan from British Petroleum will lead the Instrumentation, Systems, and Automation Society of America (ISA) Seattle/Tacoma Section as president for the 2006-2007 year. The officers and directors who will serve with Jordan include: Vice President Karl Herrick of Brown and Caldwell; directors Wayne Strand of Brown and Caldwell, Hans Togesen of Boeing, Jon Mathison of Advanced Industrial Automation, Bob O'Brien of Brett Associates; Frank Jump of North Seattle Community College. Past president Wayne Strand will serve as the District Delegate. The ISA (http://www.isa.org) fosters advancement in the theory, design, manufacture, and use of sensors, instruments, computers, and systems for the instrumentation and control (I&C) community. Founded in 1945 as a nonprofit, educational organization, ISA has expanded to more than 38,000 members in 110 countries around the world. The meetings proposed by the Seattle Section are tentatively scheduled on the second Wednesday of each month with most meetings starting at 5:30 PM. |
