2013 Power Industry Division Symposium

   2–7 June 2013, Orlando, Florida

The 56th Annual POWID Symposium is now history.  Congratulations to the Symposium Committee for an excellent event with interesting keynotes and a strong technical program.  The 57th POWID Symposium will be June 2-4, 2014 in Scottsdale, AZ at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort.  Aaron Hussey of Expert Microsystems is the General Chair for next year.  Stay tuned for more information.  Hope to see you there!!

The Symposium will be held 2-7 June 2013 at the Rosen Shingle Creek.

This event will provide power generation industry leaders with information on the latest innovations in controls, instrumentation, cyber security, SmartGrid, regulatory issues and variable energy technologies, which impact the power generation delivery systems. 

Each year this international conference, the largest single event of its type, brings together industry professionals in the power generation field with a primary focus on instrumentation and controls. We anticipate over 50 technical papers/presentations during joint sessions with fossil and nuclear focus, presented over a 3 day period. Additional schedule items include keynote messages from industry leaders, ISA and industry training sessions, EPRI Interest Group Meeting, ISA I&C Standards working group meetings, Honors and Awards Banquet, and vendor exhibits by key suppliers. There will also be an Opening Night Reception.

Notice about 3rd Party Reservations

The 56th ISA POWID Symposium’s official housing and registration administrator is ISA. As the date of an event draws closer, exhibitors and attendees are from time to time subjected to improper solicitation from unaffiliated hotels or third-party housing agencies. It is not unusual for these individuals and/or agencies to conduct their activities using room blocks that they have secured in some of the official hotels. With that, room reservations may be offered at significantly lower quality. In other circumstances, cancellation polices are often harsh and unforgiving. For these reasons, and to support our efforts to give you a quality ISA event, we encourage you to book your housing accommodations using the reservation tools provided to attendees and participants shown on this site only.
