1.0 Submit an Abstract

31 December 2006: Abstract submission due

At www.isa.org/powersymp follow the “Submit Abstract Online” link. Complete the “Presentation Submission” application. The application must be submitted electronically and in English as soon as possible and not later than 31 December 2006. Presentations without a paper will not be considered. The sooner the abstract is submitted the more likely it is to be accepted. The program committee will review all abstracts and will give preference to those that are associated with the “Call for Paper’s” topical areas and relate to the program theme “A Golden Celebration of Innovations and Technologies Visiting the Past, Examining the Present, and Looking to the Future”.

Please note the paper submission dates. Your cooperation and participation in following the submission guidelines are important.

I you do not receive information on whether your abstract has been accepted within two weeks of its submittal, please contact the program chair listed below in Section 5.

2.0 Preparing Your Paper for Submission

Papers should be created in Microsoft Word for IBM compatible PCs per ISA’s Guidelines for Publishing. All submissions and correspondence must have your Paper Number included in the subject (e-mail), filename, and printed on both the envelope & diskette if mailed.

3.0 Draft Paper Submittal and Review

15 February 2007: Draft Paper submission due

Email Draft Paper for review to techconf@isa.org with a copy to ajzadiraka@babcock.com .

To be accepted for the conference, all papers must go through the ISA review process. Each paper is peer reviewed by three power industry automation experts who evaluate its originality, clarity, completeness, accuracy and usefulness. The reviewers also assure the paper is understandable and non-commercial. The POWID Paper Review Chairperson will return your draft paper with the reviewer’s comments. You should review their comments and update/revise paper accordingly for final paper submittal.

4.0 Final Paper Submittal

15 April 2007: Final Paper and Rights Responsibilities form due

For the paper to be published in the Proceedings, the final electronic version of the paper and the completed Rights and Responsibilities form must be submitted to ISA by 15 April 2007.

Email: Send Final Papers to ISA Staff, Rodney Jones at techconf@isa.org with copies to your session developer and to ajzadiraka@babcock.com...  Rodney will confirm that he received your file via email.

FAX:  Completed Rights & Responsibilities form may be emailed with the final paper or Faxed to ISA at  (919) 549-8288.  If Faxed, please note in email to the above distribution to ensure it stays with the paper. 

5.0 Author Assistance

6.0 Presentation Guidelines

For authors presenting the paper please use these Presentation Guidelines
