13 June 2001 Executive Board Meeting

The Executive Board Meeting took place at the Aronimink Country Club in Newtown Square, PA to cap off the 2000-2001 year for the Philadelphia Section.

The Social Hour

Friends and Members of Philadelphia Section ISA kicked off the night with a couple of drinks and a Social Hour starting at 6:00 PM.

Award Presentation

 The award presentation began with Pete Hansen receiving his plaque and past president's pin by Mike Scott. Pete Hanson passed on his duties as the Philadelphia Section President by turning over the ISA traditional Gavel, Block, Wooden Case, and the missing Robert's Rules of Order which had the signatures of all the past presidents since inception. Mike Scott and Pete Hansen hosted the presentation and issued the awards. The Sun Oil Certificate Recipients were represented by Vince Broomall and Andre Ford. John Mc Grath awarded a plaque to the IBEW LU 98 Student section for winning the District II student bowl. 

                       

Speakers

 Peter Hansen announced that the Philadelphia Section received thank you notes from Siemens for the section's acknowledgements of their beneficence allowing use of their facility for the ISA meetings. ER Foreman reviewed the origins and history of the Philadelphia Section including the initiation if our education committee.  The Treasury Report was given by Dan Oswald later in the evening. Ed Gregg announced the Honors and Awards results from the Calgary  President's Summer Meeting. Charlie Ackerman and Jim O' Connor both received the Distinguished Service Award.
