The Orange County Section Planning Meeting was held on June 17,2000. We started the meeting at 8:00 a.m. with a continental breakfast and adjourned at exactly 3:30 p.m. What a pleasure it was to have a meeting at the Disneyland Hotel. I promised I would inform you of what we discussed at our Planning meeting. During the breakfast we watched a video by Jeff Tobe – Coloring Outside the Lines. A great way to get the creative juices flowing. The exchange of ideas & conversations were lively the remainder of the day never a dull moment.

The budget from the Treasurer’s Report was established for the fiscal year 2000-2001.  Please see the Financial Reports.

The Program Chairman suggested the following programs. EPA Regulation NOX Budget & 40 CFR 75 Acid Rain Program; Fieldbus Technology; ISA College Section- Career Opportunities in PC Networking Field; Conexant Semiconductor Facility Tour; Understanding Biopharmaceutical Technology; Space Technology Instrumentation; Fuel Cell Technology; Fiber Optic cables & Telecommunications; Reformulated Fuels. We are also planning on the Annual ISA Los Angles/Orange County Christmas Party, Griffith Park Tour & Picnic, and the American Cancer Society – 10K Walk, Irvine.

We will get the dates all set for some very exciting programs & events. So now is the time to come to the meetings, make some new friends, get involved & have some fun. Your board is looking forward to an exciting year and seeing lots of new & old friends.
