JUNE 1999 ORANGE COUNTY PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE
We, the ISA Orange County Section, had the best attendance at the District Workshop in Las Vegas. This is the first time our Section was represented by eight board members. We also had eight student section members at the Workshop. I would like to extend my gratitude to those members who took their valuable personal time to attend this workshop.
Our incoming president, troy Johnson, is getting ready to take over the Section from me and setting up his team to work with him next fiscal year. He has a very good team and I am sure he will do quite well. Our June program is a social meeting. We will be touring the Getty Museum and finish the day with a picnic. Our program chair Deepak Vora and deputy program chair Meenakshi Govil did a wonderful job coordinating this event. It took the Program Committee six months to set this one up.
Out third education seminar will be held on Saturday, June 12, 1999 starting at 8:00 am. The topic is "Internet, More than a Highway". Our education chair John Gong is progressing very well. If you are interested in attending this seminar, please call John Gong at (310) 265-9352 as soon as possible.
Our election of a new executive board was held on May 12, 1999 at Fluor Daniel, Room No. CN-7. The following members were elected as the new Executive Board for the fiscal year July, 1999 to June, 2000.
Troy A. Johnson - President (Elected President-Elect last year), Terry L. Sellers - President-Elect, Christine Tachdjian - Treasurer, Katherine Dam - Secretary, John Querido - Society Delegate (2nd year of a two year term).

Congratulations to Al Thawer! He passed the CCST training level 1 and is getting ready for level 2 & 3. Good job Al, keep it up.
