  1. Call to Order / Opening Comments- Troy Johnson

          Troy Johnson opened the Meeting at 7:35 PM.

  1. Board Meeting Minutes Approval – Christine Tachdjian

The November 11, 1998 Board meeting minutes were approved by Terry Sellers and 2nd by Bob Harrison.

  1. Treasurer’s Report – Terry Sellers

Terry Sellers submitted bank statements for the month of November and December. Reconciliation Reports for all transactions were also submitted.

  1. Programs – Deepak Vora/Meenakshi Govil

Program topic for February will be on Financial Planning. March Program will be on MES with a tour.

Saturday June 5th will be J Paul Getty Museum Tour. Arrangements for a picnic afterwards is underway.

Bulk E-mail of Program notification to members was successful.

  1. Arrangements – Al Thawer

Target for the year is 12 sponsors.

10 Sponsors have been secured. 2 more sponsors are needed

  1. Education – John Gong

Education Seminar on Windows CE on February 27th. (Seminar expense and revenue was submitted)

Deepak and Christine will look into E-mailing Education Seminar flyers to Orange County and LA County members. Board needs to evaluate cost of flyers in chart vs. bulk E-mail.

  1. Membership – Don Zee / Mai Luu

A report of membership status was submitted.

Present at tonight’s meeting were 38 ISA members and 1 non-member.

  1. Honors Awards – Carl Skokan

Nomination of Awards is underway.

A committee must be formed to chose officers for the next term.

  1. Student Section – Jim Cody

The semester at CSUF will start in February. Jim Cody will meet with the Department Advisor and introduce himself as the student Section liaison.

Student Section seems very active and popular on campus.

  1. Standards and Practices – Earl Montgomery

A new Vice President of Standards has been elected. No other news to report.

  1. Publicity - Jim Utt

  1. Historian / Sec. Div Liaison / Society Delegate – John Querido

  1. Old Business – Bis Mitra

          ISA President’s Meeting will be in San Diego starting February 7th.

          District 11 Workshop will be held at the Holiday Inn in Las Vegas on April 23,24, and 25

          ISA Tech 99 will be in Philadelphia.

          Industrial International Manufacturer Software expo – new ISA event – will be held in Orlando, Florida.

          Discussion about the cancellation of Anaheim in the ISA Tech rotation of cities. Decision will be made by the Conference and Exhibit Committee during the Presidents Meeting in San Diego. Committee chair is Paul Arbuckle.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:45PM.
