Each attendee will have access to a virtual plant for hands-on learning and interactive exploration of process control improvements.

This seminar will be suitable for engineers wishing to improve their knowledge of process control as well as those wishing to learn process control.

The seminar will require each attendee to bring a portable computer with a web browser for hands on training. Other deliverables will be furnished as well as lunch for both days.  Attendees will be eligible for 16 Professional Development Hours (PDHs), applicable to the requirements for professional engineers in most states

The seminar will be presented by Mr. Gregory K. McMillian bio as follows:

Gregory K. McMillan

Greg is a retired Senior Fellow from Solutia/Monsanto and an ISA Fellow. Presently, Greg is a principal consultant with CDI Process and Industrial with an office at Emerson Process Management in Austin . Greg received the ISA “Kermit Fischer Environmental” Award for pH control in 1991, the Control Magazine “Engineer of the Year” Award for the Process Industry in 1994, was inducted into the Control “Process Automation Hall of Fame” in 2001, and honored by InTech Magazine in 2003 as one of the most influential innovators in automation.  Greg is the author of numerous books on process control, his most recent being Essentials of Modern Measurements and Final Elements in the Process Industry - A Guide to Design, Configuration, Installation and Maintenance. Greg has been the monthly “Control Talk” columnist for control magazine since 2002. Greg’s expertise is available on the web site: http://www.modelingandcontrol.com/

The seminar will be presented at the Monsanto Auditorium, Monsanto Corporation, Luling , La. An enrollment fee of $400.00 for members and $500.00 for non-members (non-member fee includes ISA membership for 1 year) is required before February 28, 2010.
