ISA Nashville - President's Message
March 2009
Greetings from the Nashville ISA Section,
We had a very good turn out at our Feb meeting. The Section thanks Kevin Holley with Belden’s Industrial Solutions Group/Hirschmann Products for his very informative presentation on the basics of Ethernet. Please contact Kevin at kevin.holley@hirschmann-usa.com if you would like additional information.
Our next presentation (March 30) is scheduled to be by Wonderware on process control related topics. Information on the speaker and the topic will come in another email once we get it identified.
Future Meeting dates and topics are as follows:
Mar 30 - Wonderware speaking on Batch Control
April 27 - Siemens speaking on Plant Efficiency
May 18 - TBD
The meeting place is the Golden Corral in Franklin TN from 6PM to 8PM. We dine from 6 to 6:30 then address any ISA Section Business. From that point we begin presentation topic for the evening. You pay for all you can eat food cafeteria style as you enter the place (about $12). There is a server assigned to the meeting room to get your drink and refresh it. Please tip him/her accordingly.
The Nashville Section new and improved website is planned to be released on April 1st. An email announcement will be made when the site is ready.
With three meetings left this year, members should be considering candidates for Section President for next year. Email your nominees to me. Feel free to nominate yourself if you are interested in the position. Voting should take place by the April 27 meeting.
Not enough people were interested in having a May Social Event, so we will have a normal meeting at the regular place with a presenter.
