Invitation for Paper Presentation

Instrumentation Technology In CUSTODY TRANSFER MEASUREMENT TECHNIQUES
IT  -   In  -   CT  + Table Top Display
Gases - Steam –Liquids—Solids
Two day seminar on 8th & 9th June 2001, Mumbai

In the last few years, the cost of raw materials as well as finished products has increased in leaps and bounds. In such a scenario, Custody Transfer Measurement acquires very special importance to Buyers as well as Sellers of any product especially Gases, Steam, Liquids or Solid flowing materials.  Measurement becomes more complex when two or more parties must agree to the quantity of product that is measured and agree to make or receive payment based on this quantity.  This event will be of tremendous benefit to all Sectors of processing industry.

We invite Engineering Professionals to author and present papers on any of the following topics.

Contractual Requirements
Definitions used in the contract, The Ownershiip and Responsibility, force majeure, default or termination, warantee of title, Government requirements, Weights and Measurement Act, Arbitration etc.

Measurement Station Design
Design, Installation, Maintenance and Operation, Relevant Standards, Industry Practices, Company Guidelines, Kinds of meters to be used, Data Acquisition and interpretation.

Measurement concerns - Fluid
Fluid concerns, Conversion of volumetric fluid measurements at flowing conditions to base conditions; Accuracy of Physical Property of mixtures, Mixure Law calculations; Accuracy of Multiphase flows;

Measurement Concerns – Flow
Constancy of rate of flow; Meter location; Dynamic range of the meter, Maintenance and Calibration and Periodic Testing of metering equipments; minimising measurement differences between two identical systems.

Measurement Concens – Metering Instruments
Selection of proper meters; measured value and True Value; Measurement Uncertainty; Operational Considerations:

Custody Transfer Auditing
Operation and Mainteance Records, Disagreementts, Selection of Competent Auditors; Audit frequency; Relevant Standards:

Case Studies
On any of the above relevant topics
