Call to order by Tom Mladucky, the evening agenda and minutes from February were reviewed and moved to be approved by Chuck, seconded by Jason.
Web Master- Chuck has added on line Registration for Attendees.
Tom will update the Presidents message for the year and Chuck will post on the web.
Membership – Jim Lawrence has gone the extra mile in organizing and getting the membership drive underway. The board members have agreed to contact members that have not renewed in the past year. If you are a past member that has not renewed or someone interested in becoming a member please contact a board member. You can also register on line at ISA.ORG, select Fox River Valley Section if you are in this area.
Secretary- Pete was notified that NWTC will be awarding two Howard Patterson scholarships this year.
Expo Chair- Jason has six booths left for the Vendor show scheduled for April 8th at the S.C. Grand in DePere
Mailers will go out on March 25th. They will go to the Milwaukee section as well.
Tom will announce that we need help with registration, manning the ISA booth ect., in his bi-weekly e-mail reminder of the show.
Jason has five seminars scheduled. We will have the topic only once that day.
The topics are:
Wireless and the ISA 100 Standard 11:30-12:30 Presented by Honeywell
IT Security for Process Control 12:45_1:45 Presented by Siemens
Industrial Drives for Cat 3 Safety Requirements 2 PM – 3 PM Presented by L&S Elect.
Applying Vision & Controls in automation Solutions 3:15-4:15 Presented by HiTech
Alarm Management 4:30-5:30 presented by Emerson/Novaspect
District Six student competition. Jason reported that we have 8 teams from 5 schools competing this year. Jason would like to establish an endowment to help fund the competition each year. ISA National will match our contribution up to $1000.
Pete Moved we allow $1000 toward the endowment to be established prior to the 2009 competition and Chuck seconded. We will also contribute $1000 this year and another $350 toward travel.
President- Tom has the next membership meeting scheduled for May 8th. Waly Boyes, Control Magazine will talk about the “Future of Automation”
The Section Bi-Laws were reviewed, Tom will make the changes we discussed and copy the board for review.
The next board meeting is scheduled for April 23rd.
