FOX RIVER VALLEY SECTION

Patterson, Guy Nuechterlein
Call to order by Chuck, the evening agenda was reviewed, moved to be approved by
Jason, seconded by Guy. The minutes from February were not reviewed because we
did not have a copy.
_Chair Reports_
Newsletter -Steve has the new newsletter done and ready to go. It does include
notification of the Vendor's Expo. He will send it to Chuck for dissemination
and to Guy for publication on the website.
Web Master –Guy has the web page updated with current information.
Vendors Show – We are in good shape. The switch to Rock Garden from SC Grand
has worked out well. We do not have as many booths sold as in previous years,
but the cost at Rock Garden is less than SC Grand. So far we have given free
booths to Focus on Energy and UW Fox Valley. No response from the trade
schools. Jason had already purchased two iPods as door prizes and Guy offered a
salmon fishing trip as an additional door prize.
District 6 meeting - No District meetings this year. ISA has pulled the
funding. There will be a student competition, run by Jason Haines with help
from Pete Schuh. Thirteen teams will compete. No teams from Wisconsin will
participate. We have agreed to pay expenses for Jason and Pete.
May membership meeting. We do need to have a meeting so that members can vote
on the new board.
Golf outing -- plan for a June golf outing at Winnegame. Chuck will contact
them.
Scholarships- Jeff reports that we have 9 applicants for the 5 scholarships.
The exam will be held later this month. All applicants so far are high school
seniors. No applicants from tech colleges.
