ISA Executive Committee Meeting Minutes

Meeting Date: July 15th

Location: The Senator Restaurant, Augusta, ME

Attendees: Joe Pilsbury, Ron Fluet and Adam Brewer

Meeting Summary

1. Discussed the ISA Annual Golf Outing in September:

1.1. Scheduled date is Thursday, September 15th with a possible rain date of the 26th. Start time is 12:00 noon. Mike McNeil has the lead on this event and will make reservations, etc.

1.2. Approved raising the cost of sponsoring a hole to $125.00 (from $100).

1.3. With respect to fund raising for this event, we feel that Mike McNeil has the best pull as he is the only ISA Executive Committee Member to be a vendor. Action for Mike to appeal to the vendors for donations and to advise the committee of any help needed.

1.4. Mike to write-up a quick mailer on the event (including rationale for why companies should donate money) and send to Chuck Kelly for distribution to the ISA mailing list. Goal is to get out before the beginning of August.

1.5. Mike to advise what assistance he needs in pulling this event together (all of us will be happy to help out).

1.6. Adam Brewer advised the he will pursue donations/hole sponsorships from NEC, I&VS and Rosemount. Joe Pilsbury to follow-up with Pond Technical and Gilman Electric.

2. Discussed meetings for the 2005-2006 season and assigned responsibilities per below:

2.1. Early November - event tbd (tour recommended). Several potential topics discussed including: wireless, digital networks, industrial surge protection. This meeting has been assigned to Conrad L'Heureux and Adam Brewer. (as an after thought, perhaps a tour of Maine Maritime including the State of Maine training vessel would be a good event).

2.2. January - seminar tbd; assigned to Mike Alt.

2.3. March - Dragon Cement tour. Meeting assigned to Mike McNeil.

2.4. May - Downeast tour/overnight adventure. Details to finalized by Joe Pilsbury and Ron Fluet. Basic schedule includes a tour of a sea salt manufacturing facility (truly a one of a kind), dinner and overnight with possible tours the next day of a winery or Cherryfield Foods or something else.

3. Ron Fluet presented the Treasurer's Report. Our current balance is $2,420.00 with $1,000.00 dedicated to Northern Maine Community College for their trip to compete in the ISA international games this fall.

Respectfully submitted,

Adam Brewer

Secretary - Downeast Maine ISA
