As the 2002-2003 Cincinnati Section President, I would like to welcome all of the instrument, control, and automation professionals to another year of activities with the Cincinnati ISA Section. This year's activities include: a site tour of Clippard Instruments Manufacturing Facility, five technical programs, a holiday party, all culminating with May's Annual Meeting and Past President's Night.

Furthermore, in April, the section will host a Section Educational Event which will include ISA Training Courses A mailer will be sent out the first of the year to let you know more about this event. Also, I want to remind you to mark your calendars for our annual Golf Outing, which will be held August 6, 2003.

The Cincinnati Section ISA Board would like to thank the vendors who advertise in the Transmitter. If not for them, this publication would not be possible. The Transmitter is put together each year by the Cincinnati Section as a guide to local section information, a directory of instrument and control vendors and manufacturers, and technical reference information.

In other news, this year you can expect the section website to be up to date with the latest program information. You can reach the site at http://www.isa.org/~cinci. A new feature this year is online Section Program Event Registration. Speaking of websites, I encourage all of our members to explore the benefits that the ISA website has to offer.
