Statement of Ends - Our Mission
The ISA of Charleston WV is successful when its members achieve personal growth and lead fulfilling careers as marketable people.
This is achieved when the ISA's members gain, as a result of their membership:
1) current, transportable, technical knowledge
2) personal and work-related "soft skills"
3) a network of professional contacts
4) a desire to tell others about ISA and encourage them to participate
Current, transportable technical knowledge is by definition an ever-changing body of knowledge. It includes, but is not limited to:
a) instrumentation, systems, and automation
b) six sigma and other statistical quality methods
c) topics eligible for continuing education units
d) project management
Soft skills include, but are limited to:
a) priority and time management
b) working with others
d) presentation and sales
Networking refers to any process by where people are introduced to others they would not otherwise have known. These new contacts might serve immediate or future business needs.
