Topics Covered

Enterprise Integration - ISA95 Standard

This presentation will review the ISA95 standard used in enterprise to control system integration for industrial information systems.  Information is the key to enhancing manufacturing performance and remaining competitive in our global economy.  Information systems must work together in modern manufacturing facilities, but these systems often span different network architectures, different system architectures, different user bases, and different support bases.  The ISA95 model provides a toolset for the integration of these systems in an open, logical approach.  In this presentation, the different logical and application levels in a manufacturing system will be presented, identifying the integration challenges and discussing the different technologies and standards being used to solve data integration problems.

  Speaker

Chris Monchinski

Chris Monchinski is ACC’s Director of Manufacturing Information Technology.  Chris is ACC’s representative to the ISA-95 committee on Enterprise-to-Control System Integration and is an officer on that committee. He is a frequent speaker and industry events, having presented at conferences such as World Batch Forum, Interphex and ISPE.   Chris has been with ACC since 1994.  Chris has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Computer Science from California State University.
