Field instrumentation and control systems have come a long way since
the 4-20 mA analog loops that have been the cornerstone
of the automation industry for many decades. However, with all the new
features and flexibility packed in today’s smart instrumentation, field
engineers and technicians now face a new challenge — a multitude of
communication protocols, platform compatibility,
and how to incorporate all this new-found intelligence into their
applications. |
