Fellow ISA Baton Rouge Section Members,

Here we are another year later - I am looking forward to serving you over the 2009-2010 year. Last year, as the previous years, proved to be successful - overall - for the section. We raised awareness and the value of membership as well as sponsorship. We will be continuing those efforts this year. This year we will focus a little harder on our student population and the young folks entering our industry. We would like to see more corporate leadership from those entities who are based in instrumentation and control for their very existence.

We have an exciting year of topics planned out for the monthly luncheon and dinner programs. Please see the events calendar and mark your calendars accordingly.

For 2010, the New Orleans Section will be hosting the Annual Expo. Please visit the EXPO page on this site for more information. The EXPO details are a work in progress, so be patient. If you have questions about the 2010 EXPO and need an answer - call me and I'll do my best to get one for you. The 2009 event was a success from an exhibitor standpoint, however our industry participation was lite to say the least. I would suggest that if you consider exhibiting that you work hard to ensure that your customers agree to come to the event. The Sections can do only so much to get the end users in and accounted for - we NEED YOUR HELP. The Baton Rouge Section will be assisting New Orleans - but only from an administrative position - the EXPO belongs to them this year. Please see the Expo link on the website for more details.

Please watch for our monthly newsletters and visit the section website often. There will be very meaningful and beneficial information shared with you. If you are a member but have not been receiving monthly information from the section, please notify us with you correct contact information.

This is YOUR professional organization. Your comments and suggestions are welcomed so please do not hold back. We want to hear from you. All board members' contact information is listed in the officers section. Give us your thoughts and ideas and let us turn them into reality.
