Knowledge is king
School of Hard Knocks doesn't exist, engineers need training
Engineers graduate with a limited understanding of instrumentation and control systems. At best, they take a course in control theory, rarely used in a plant environment. Intelligent graduates and experienced engineers often find themselves in the control world with little or no knowledge, and they need to perform pronto. What is the solution? It is simple: Good training.
