Peter M. Batey, refinery manager at the Alliance Refinery for ConocoPhillips, discussed the effects of Hurricane Katrina on the Alliance Refinery and the aftermath in the Keynote Address on Tuesday, 17 October. 

Dr. Trevor Kletz, leading authority on industrial safety presented the Rimbach Lecture on Wednesday, 18 October. 

Dick Morley and friends presented Dick's Last Retort on Thursday 19 October. This irreverent and thought-provoking look at technology, government, regulation, and innovation, both stimulated and entertained attendees.
