Training Program Information
Q. What training courses will be held in conjunction with ISA EXPO 2006? A. ISA will offer over 20 of its most popular one-day seminars and multi-day courses at ISA EXPO 2006. Click here for a complete schedule.

Q. When/where will the training program be held? A. All ISA Training courses will be held in conjunction with ISA EXPO 2006 – at Reliant Center – One Reliant Park - Houston, TX. Courses will be held 16-20 October 2006, in the #100 Series Rooms. All courses are 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM each day.

Q. How do I register for these training course offerings? A. Registration for ISA Training courses is separate from ISA EXPO 2006 show registration. You may complete the official ISA EXPO 2006 training registration form, register online, or contact our Customer Service Department at 919/549-8411.

Q. What is the deadline for registering for these courses? A. Advance registration for ISA EXPO 2006 training courses is always recommended in order to guarantee your seat in the course. Deadline for course registration at ISA is 6 October 2006.

Q. Can I register onsite? A. Yes. You may register onsite upon your arrival at the event. However, there is no guarantee that the course you want may be available, so register early, don't wait! Also, any registrations after 6 October should be made online or onsite at Reliant Center – Outside Exhibit Hall B, Level 1.

Q. Do I have to register every each morning of the class? A. No. Once you check-in onsite at the Training Registration area and receive your badge and course information, you do not have to come back each day – you just report directly to your classroom.

Q. Is there a separate fee for these training courses? A. Yes. Courses/seminars offered through ISA are separate programming elements aside from the conference sessions which come with your individual show registration. Separate fees do apply.

Q. Where/when do I receive my badge and course materials? A. Upon registration, each training student will receive a confirmation letter and additional information regarding your courses at ISA EXPO 2006. All students will be asked to check-in at the Training Registration area located at Reliant Center – Outside Exhibit Hall B – Level 1. Students should report to the registration area between 7-7:30 AM on the first day of their class to receive their badge and directions to their designated classrooms. All course materials will be provided in the back of the classrooms. No badges or materials will be sent out in advance of the training courses.

Q. Do training students receive free access to the conference/exhibit at ISA EXPO 2006? A. Yes. All students registering for a multi-day ISA training course will receive FREE admission to the ISA EXPO 2006 conference sessions and exhibition. Thus, no separate registration is necessary after registering for your designating training courses.

Q. Can I pick up my badge early to attend the exhibit, if my class does not start on the first day of the show? A. Yes. Since training runs in conjunction with the ISA EXPO 2006 conference/exhibition event, we understand that you may want to hit some sessions and the exhibit floor prior to your course start date (if applicable). So, for individuals whose courses start later in the week – you may pick up your badge ahead of time for entry into these sessions and/or the exhibit floor prior to your course start.

Q. What if my training course is cancelled prior to the event? A. ISA has the right to cancel any training course being held at ISA EXPO 2006 two weeks prior to the course start date due to lack of registrations. Should a course be canceled for which you are registered . . . you will be notified ahead of time for a refund or to transfer into another course being held at ISA EXPO 2006.

Q. Will food/refreshments be available to training students? A. For courses being held at ISA EXPO 2006, there will be complimentary AM beverage refreshments provided for students in and around the training classroom area. There will also be food eateries available during the week throughout the facilities and on the show floor.

Q. Will there be transportation available for the first day of the training program? A. Complimentary shuttle transportation will be provided from all official ISA EXPO 2006 hotels to/from Reliant Center on event days, 17-19 October ONLY. There will be NO SHUTTLE SERVICE on Monday, 16 October, 2006 . . . so, individuals who have classes with a Monday start, need to find an alternate form of transportation on that day.

Self-parking lots are conveniently located adjacent to Reliant Center with daily rates. Parking passes will be available onsite throughout ISA EXPO 2006. Simply bring your parking receipt, received upon entry to the lot, to the Reliant Park Service Desk inside the facility. The amount already paid for parking will be applied to the purchase of your parking pass.

Q. If I am registering for the CCST or CAP certification courses and get the exam for free, do I still need to send in my application? A. Yes. As a special offer, ISA affords students who register for our TS00 – CCST Review Course and EC00 – CAP Review Course the opportunity to take the exam on the day following the course FREE OF CHARGE on 19 October. However, the normal application process must still be followed and the appropriate documentation sent in ahead of time, in order to sit for the exam. For more information click here.

Conference Participant Information
Q. As a speaker or conference participant do I need to register? A. Yes, all ISA EXPO 2006 Speakers and Conference Participants will need to register. A special Conference Participant Registration form will be sent to you along with your Conference Participant packet. This information will not go out until two months before the event. Conference Participants receive discounted rates on the conference and event proceedings. These discounts will be reflected on the Conference Participant Registration form. Q. As a Conference Participant do I have to pay to attend the Conference? A. ISA EXPO 2006 speakers receive one day of the conference complimentary (which is the day of their presentation, this can not be changed). If you wish to attend the other two days of the conference, conference participants register at the discounted price of $195.00. You may register for the conference via the conference participant registration form or on-site at ISA EXPO 2006.

Q. Are Conference Participants at ISA EXPO 2006 responsible for their travel and hotel expenses? A. Yes, all ISA EXPO 2006 speakers and conference participants are responsible for their own hotel and travel expenses.

Q. What is the Conference Participant/Speakers Breakfast? A. The ISA EXPO 2006 Conference Participant Breakfast is a complimentary CONFERENCE PARTICIPANTS ONLY breakfast held each morning at 7:00am on the conference days 17-19 October. Speakers should plan to attend on the morning of your presentation only. This is a good opportunity to meet with your session developer/session participants and network with other speakers.

Q. As a Conference Speaker do I receive complimentary ISA EXPO 2006 conference proceedings? A. Although speakers do not receive the conference proceedings free they do receive the EXPO proceedings at a discounted rate. Speakers may purchase ISA EXPO 2006 conference proceedings on CD-ROM for $69.00. Conference proceedings may be picked up on-site.

Exhibitor Information
Q. What comes with my booth? A. Each inline or peninsula booth will be set with 8' high back drape, 36" high side drape and a 7' x 44" two-line identification sign. The following items do NOT come with your booth and you will need to order separately; carpet*, furniture, electrical, phone/internet lines, card reader/lead retrieval machines, water/air and any other utilities.
*All aisles within the exhibit hall will be carpeted. ALL BOOTH AREAS MUST HAVE A FLOOR COVERING. Please refer to FREEMAN EXHIBITOR SERVICES MANUAL for the carpet order form.

Q. How do I get information and order forms for the things we'll need in out booth? A. The exhibitor manual and downloadable order forms are available online. Click on the link to Exhibitor Services Manual.

Q. Where do we get information on booth rules and regulations? A. Rules and regulations can be found under the ISA EXPO 2006 Rules and Regulations tab of the Exhibitor Manual. For information on booth setup guidelines click on the links to Linear, Island and Peninsula Booth Configuration in the ISA Information/Order Forms section of the manual.

Q. What are the exhibit construction height limitations? A. See "Can we use a hanging sign."

Q. Can I tear down my booth early? A. No, each booth must remain staffed and completely intact until 3:30 pm on Thursday, October 19. Please schedule your staff's flights so at least one person will be available to dismantle your booth after 5:30 pm. Freeman Decorating will begin returning empty containers after the aisle carpet is removed.

Q. Can we use a hanging sign? A. Yes, hanging signs are permitted. The height of the hanging sign from the floor to the top of the sign may not exceed the following height limits.

Q. How do we get hotel rooms for our staff? A. ISA's Housing Bureau facilitates online exhibitor hotel reservations. Choose from single or block-room reservations from a variety of official ISA hotels. Visit the Hotel/Travel section for all of your travel needs.

Q. How do I arrange for meeting space or a hospitality suite? A. To reserve meeting space or a hospitality suite, complete the Meeting Space Request form. The deadline date is 17 September 2006. For questions contact Kim Gordley at 919-990-9349 or kgordley@isa.org.

Q. How many complimentary badges do we have? A. You are entitled to five badges per 100 feet of exhibit space. Once you have used all of your complimentary badges, you must pay $35 for each additional badge. Your exhibitor badge gives you access to keynote and forum presentations, the ISA EXPO Technical Conference and the exhibition.

Q. When will we receive our badges? A. Registering before Friday, 15 September helps to ensure you receive your badge by mail before the show. If you register after Friday, 15 September your badge will be available at the Exhibitor Registration counter. If you do not receive your badge by mail, please go to the Exhibitor Registration counter at Reliant Center.

Q. Do I need to register set-up and dismantle personnel? A. No, we will give them a temporary sticker for admission into the exhibit hall during set-up and move-out ONLY. The Request to Use a Non-Official Contractor form needs to be completed and submitted with a valid Certificate of Insurance. Non-Officials do not count towards your complimentary staff allotment.

Q. I didn't get one of my booth selections or I don't like where my booth location is…can I move? A. We maintain a booth move list. Just put your request in writing to us (mrhyne@isa.org) and we'll add you to the list. This list is processed on a first-come, first-served basis. As we have openings that fit your booth requirements, we'll notify you and give you first right of refusal on the space.

Q. How do I order my free exhibitor (guest) invitations? A. Each exhibitor will be mailed 100 exhibitor guest invitations, allowing free exhibit only registration. Send them to your most valued customers. You may order up to 10,000 free exhibitor guest invitations. You may also order exhibitor guest invitations imprinted with your company name and booth number. The cost is $35 per thousand invitations with a minimum order of 1000.

Q. What is the cancellation policy? A. All cancellations must be in writing. When canceling, an exhibitor is financially liable for all costs associated with their booth space.

Q. What are the exhibit hours? A. 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 17 and Wednesday, October 18 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, October 19

Q. What are the labor work rules? A. Full time employees of exhibiting companies may assemble and decorate their booths without the aid of local union assistance. However, the local union must render any services that may be required beyond what your regular full time employees can provide.

Q. Can we carry our equipment into the building? A. Exhibitors may hand-carry their own materials into the exhibit facility. However, the use or rental of dollies, flat-trucks and other mechanical equipment is not permitted. Freeman Decorating will control access to the loading docks in order to provide for a safe and orderly move-in/move-out.

Q. Who is the Official General Contractor? A. Freeman Decorating Company has been named the Official General Contractor and is responsible for labor, decorating and drayage. Exhibitors who plan to use a contractor other than Freeman Decorating to install and dismantle their booth must complete the Request to Use a Non-Official Contractor form.

Q. Can we use vendors other than those appointed by ISA? A. For services such as electrical, plumbing, telephone, internet, catering, drayage, rigging, registration/lead retrieval, booth security, display cleaning, and millright work no exceptions will be made. In these cases, the Official Contractors must be used. Freeman Decorating will supply professional union labor for all of the work needed for the installation and dismantling of your exhibit.
Should you utilize the services of any independent contractor that is not one of the ISA Official Contractors listed in the Exhibitor Services Manual, please complete the REQUEST TO USE A NON-OFFICIAL CONTRACTOR FORM. If ISA discovers an independent contractor on the exhibit hall floor providing services to an exhibitor without the knowledge and consent of ISA and without filing a current Certificate of Insurance, the contractor and any exhibitor utilizing their services will each be fined a penalty of $500.00.

Q. Can children attend ISA EXPO 2006? A. No infants, toddlers or children under 16 years of age may attend ISA EXPO 2006 nor will they be allowed on the exhibit hall floor during move-in or move-out.

Q. Are cameras allowed on the show floor? A. Exhibitors and attendees may take pictures within the show for purposes of company or annual reports, company media pieces, marketing materials, etc. Under no circumstance will anyone be permitted to take pictures of an exhibitor's product without the permission of the exhibitor. Many products on display are unique, innovative, one-of-a-kind or prototype items. Exhibitors have the right to report to security any instance of inappropriate photographing of company products or displays.

Q. What other opportunities are there to market our booth space? A. Sponsorship and advertising opportunities are available to ISA EXPO 2006 exhibitors. Your company will spend three days face-to-face with your target audience and by participating in a sponsorship you can maximize your exposure at the biggest event of the year.
