This course provides participant an understanding of deployment approaches for ISA100.11a, expected performance, and site issues.

You will be able to:

• Configure wireless networks for integration with the ISA100.11a standard
• Assess expected performance for the ISA100.11a standard in specific applications
• Apply concept of “Profiles” in the ISA100.11a standard and their relevance to applications and expected performance
• Define, plan for implementation of ISA100.11a

You Will Cover:

• Configuring ISA100.11a Wireless Networks: Latency | Throughput | Reliability  | Security
• Expected Performance for ISA100.11a Networks: Battery life | Range | Data Rates | Reliability | Latency
• Selecting ISA100.11a Profiles: Architecture | Range | Power | Gateways
• Implementing ISA100.11a Profiles: Installation | Operation | Troubleshooting

Equipment and System Requirements:

• Touch-tone telephone with a speakerphone for the audio portion of the live seminars
• Internet connection running at 28.8 bps or faster
• Java-enabled browser (Netscape Navigator 4.04 or later or Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 or later)
• Computer monitor large enough for all participants to view or projection system for presentation for larger audiences.
