About

Overview

Presenter: Bryan L. Singer

Recent security threats to critical infrastructure and recommendations from the Department of Homeland Security made everyone more aware of the need to secure manufacturing and control systems. Recent and upcoming congressional testimony on security of manufacturing and control systems, particularly SCADA, have increased that awareness.

This web seminar presents a general overview of the ISA Manufacturing and Control Systems Security (SP99) Standards Committee, its current activities, and its current work products. We will focus on the purposes, principles, and reasons for Manufacturing and Control Systems Security, and will receive an overview of the pending release of the ISA SP99 Technical Reports. The information will be relevant to any manufacturing industry including (but not limited to) water/wastewater, nuclear and fossil fuel power, chemical & petrochemical, food and beverage, automotive, pharmaceutical & bio-pharm, etc.
