This year's invited keynote speakers will offer insight into advanced instrumentation technologies and how these interface with human processes across several industries and applications:

Paul Gruhn, Safety Expert, ICS Triplex

Gruhn is the global process safety consultant at ICS Triplex | Rockwell Automation. He has been very active with ISA at the section, division and department level for more than 20 years. Gruhn became an ISA Fellow in 2001, is a member of the ISA84 standard committee (on safety instrumented systems) and the ISA101 standard committee (on human machine interfaces). He is the developer and instructor of ISA courses on safety systems, the author of two ISA textbooks, chapters in other books, and more than two dozen published articles. Gruhn is the developer of the first commercial safety system software modeling program. He is a Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas, USA, and is an ISA84 expert. Read more

Dr. Richard Rivir, Chief Scientist, Wright Patterson AFB

Dr. Richard Rivir, a member of the scientific and professional cadre of senior executives, is Chief Scientist, Propulsion Directorate, Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. He serves as the directorate's principal scientific and technical adviser and primary authority for the technical content and quality of the directorate's science and technology portfolio. The Propulsion Directorate's programs include air breathing propulsion; missile and rocket propulsion; electric and space propulsion; power and thermal management; and the development of alternative fuels and energy resource management for the Air Force.
