FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus installations differ dramatically from conventional device installations. Small scale trial-type installations are yielding to larger scale installations as user confidence builds and device selection increases. Multi-drop busses, control in field devices, bus power distribution, and device grouping are among the characteristics of Fieldbus that influence changes to the project engineering process for these larger installations.
